An essential partner and leader in workforce development was recognized this week at the West Michigan Works! 2022 Workforce Development Board annual meeting. Grand Rapids based company OST (Open System Technologies) was named Employer of the Year.
A technology consulting firm headquartered in Grand Rapids; OST is one of the top technology employers in the region. They have been featured as one of West Michigan’s Best and Brightest Companies to Work for each year since 2011, in addition to receiving other local, national and international awards.
Elizabeth Wilson, OST Sales Manager, accepted the award on the firm’s behalf.
“OST has a great partner in West Michigan Works! and the West Michigan Tech Talent industry Council,” said Wilson.
“As a digital consultancy we have a need to continue to see the depth of talent continue to grow within West Michigan, and to grow the diversity within the industry. It is not just one of us leaning in, it is all of us as an organization partnering with West Michigan Works and West Michigan Tech Talent. We are happy to see the partnership continue.”
OST has been an active partner with WMW! and its West Michigan Tech Talent council for the last six years. OST works diligently to create more tech opportunities for everyone, and they have an uncompromising commitment to promoting workforce initiatives in West Michigan.
They support the growth of the region’s tech industry and give back to the community through volunteering and sponsorships with Grand Rapids Public Schools, and with crucial community organizations such as Kids Food Basket, Habitat for Humanity and West Michigan Center for Arts and Technology.
